While there are so many beautiful wedding venues in South Dakota, we thought that we would pick out a few of our faves that we shot at in the last year! Wedding barns seem to be the latest trend, especially in Sioux Falls, and we definitely don’t see them going away anytime soon!
Newly engaged? This one is especially for you!
The Icon Lounge, located in the heart of downtown Sioux Falls is such a classic location that we had to put it on our list! We loved the open layout and the charm of all the well-preserved wood flooring and brick walls. They also have a large outdoor seating area with an awning, so it’s perfect for getting some natural light photos, too. Which, as natural light photographers, is what we looooove. Being in downtown SF makes this such a fun place to get married!

If you haven’t been to Granite Springs, please put this location on your to-do list! Just across a footbridge sits this beautiful flooded quarry — AKA the perfect place for sunset portraits right by the water! Thankfully our bride and groom were totally up for sunset portraits by the lake. When a wedding guest asked us if we’d like a canoe for them, well, we couldn’t say no!
They have more than enough lodging for all of your friends and family to stay! This is a venue where you can stay, get ready, have your ceremony and reception, have your cake and eat it too! (Haha, we think we’re funny!)

A big gorgeous barn and an apple orchard! Do we really need to say more? This venue is great for outdoor weddings and a great place to have what we like to can an “all inclusive wedding” at. So no driving around from place to place. The getting ready area, ceremony and reception are all in the same place.
They have a special room set aside for the bride to get ready in privacy, and a private loft for the groomsmen. The loft overlooks the entire grand room of the venue, which is a super unique way to see your reception! The orchard also allows for some stunning sunset portraits of you and your brand new husband. Located just a few miles outside of Sioux Falls, so your guests have a hotel not too far away! The unique charm and beauty of this location make it one of our favorite wedding barns in Sioux Falls.

This beautiful restored barn makes for a great wedding venue! You can have your ceremony outside or inside, and proceed to have a fun reception indoors! This barn is over 100 years old and has a rustic elegance about it. Inside the barn, you’ll find two spacious floors of entertainment space, with a complete bar on the first floor, and a large dining area up above. There’s a bridal suite, as well as a covered outdoor patio, which we totally took advantage of because that crazy blizzard that shut down the state took place on the day we shot there! That way, our bride could still get beautiful, naturally lit images without facing the crazy blizzard that was outdoors! Located just a half hour from Sioux Falls, this venue is super convenient for Sioux Falls brides! Brides, definitely check out this Sioux Falls wedding barn!

Summit Events Hall, a charming venue in the historic district of downtown Sioux Falls, was first built in 1903 as a home. It has been preserved in it’s historic state as an events hall suitable for up to 220 guests. Trust me, one look in here and you’ll fall in love. The historic details are so beautifully captured here. It’s the perfect place to get ready with your girls and host your wedding reception!
There is also a suite upstairs, called The Summit Suite. The Summit Suite can sleep up to eight and includes a full kitchen, vintage claw-foot bathtub, living room, two bedrooms, and bunkbeds. This space is perfect for the bride and her bridesmaids, as a honeymoon suite, a bridal shower or bachelorette party, or as additional space for young families during your event.
This is a cozy space for more intimate receptions. We absolutely loved shooting at this Sioux Falls wedding venue!

Boudoir photography celebrates all the ways your crazy beautiful body has held you up, moved you forward, and turned you into a woman who can get. it. done. Sis, that is something that should make you proud.
I’m Emma, a Sioux Falls Boudoir Photographer. Helping people feel their best has always been part of who I am. Before focusing on photography, I worked as a nurse, and now I use that same expert care to help women feel like a million bucks. Oh my gosh, it is the best.
