“Oh, we’ve got a running bet on it,” I heard them say. My curiosity got the best of me.

“What are you betting on?” I asked.

His groomsmen answered, “Kobus thinks he isn’t going to cry when she comes down the aisle. But we all know he’s going to!”

I’ll let Kobus finish that story however he wants to tell it, although I think I *might* have seen some tears shed, but maybe that was just me! 🙂

 

Jenna and Kobus were married at Good Roots Farm and Garden in Brookings, South Dakota. I’ll admit this is my first time shooting at this venue and I think I am in love! From the free roaming chickens to all the fun farm decor, this place is the perfect barn location! They were married upstairs in the hayloft area, and had their reception downstairs! It could not have been a cuter little venue.

 

Shooting at this location was not the only first for me at their wedding. They were also my first international couple! Kobus is South African and Jenna is from the US. It was amazing to see how far his family traveled to be a part of his day. You might notice that their flags are displayed in some pictures, and this is why! Look how tightly Kobus’s mom hugs him after their first dance together. That is a hug she traveled nearly 10,000 miles for!
