Turns out an engagement session at Sertoma Park is just what I needed this winter!
Besides the cold, I actually really enjoy engagement sessions in the snow! It helps me keep my pictures light, it adds a cozy quality to pictures, and usually ends with a stop to get hot cocoa! What more could a girl want?
But this engagement session is super special – because I’ve been waiting for this engagement session for SO LONG! Kylie and Zach live in Virginia while she is in med school, so we knew their engagement sesh needed to be over Christmas break. And you guys, sometimes there’s a bunch of snow here, and sometimes it’s just tough to find snow. Thank goodness Sertoma Park had quite a bit left and helped make the pictures with the evergreen trees that much more cozy and wintery!
Honestly when Kylie and I planned this day, I just prayed that we would have good weather. You never know in SD! And we squeezed in their engagement right before the snow storm hits this weekend It was so perfect.
And one of the best parts? They brought their puppy. He’s a black labrador retriever named Benelli, and he played a huge role in Zach proposing to Kylie! They were actually out walking him when Zach asked Kylie to marry him! Talk about a walk to remember!
Oh guys, I’m so excited for your wedding this year at Gate City Events! It won’t be long before we’re celebrating that!
