All engagement sessions are special, but this was a particularly memorable engagement session for me. Alyssa is my cousin and I’ve been blessed to watch her and Sid’s relationship grow since they were in high school. Now, in preparation for their wedding, I get the honor of photographing their engagement session and telling their love story.
ALYSSA: “One night, as we were both preparing to go on a little vacation, Sid told me that he needed to go pick up something at the store quick. Once we got in the car, I noticed that instead of turning to go to the store, he turned the other way. We ended up out by the lake. The night was absolutely beautiful and clear and the stars and moon were reflecting off the water. He got down on one knee and asked if I would marry him, and of course, I said ‘Yes, absolutely!'”
Sid + Alyssa: “Sleep in, then have a nice breakfast (has to include bacon at Sid’s request), spend the day outside, enjoy a nice dinner and maybe catch a movie.”
WHAT DO YOU LOVE THE MOST ABOUT HIM?Alyssa: “I love the ways that he makes laugh, even on the days when I’m right on the verge of tears. I love that every moment we spend together is even more special than the last. He is calm, supportive, and he isn’t afraid to be a little goofy with me every now and then.”
Sid: “Her personality and the way she looks at me. She is real with me. And she is beautiful.”
