Rural Minnesota Engagement Session

This was our first rural Minnesota engagement session, and Janessa and Jesse have set the bar HIGH! We traveled to Wood Lake, Minnesota, and shot their engagement session on his parent’s farm. Janessa and Jesse live close by, and enjoy spending time over at his parent’s place!

This was not the first time we have met each other, however! You might think Janessa looks familiar, and that’s because she is Jordana’s sister! Jordana was one of my ECP Brides this year, and you can check out her blog here!

Where He Proposed

This was also a first! They took us for a ride on an ATV to get to the first location, which was the actual lake part of Wood Lake! This location was super special for them. It’s exactly where Jesse proposed to Janessa just a few weeks ago! I’m sure those memories all come flooding back every time they are in that spot. It was gorgeous and nearly mosquito-free! 😉

Christmas Tree Farm

The next location we traveled to was a Christmas tree farm. Yep, you read that right! You can come over and cut down a fresh tree at Christmas time. Jesse told me some of those trees he remembers seeing when he was little, and now they’re the ones ready to be cut down and used in someone’s home for Christmas. I bet it looks gorgeous with some fresh snowfall on it too!
