Well, this engagement session is going to be hard to follow!! There is nothing I love more than exploring a new location, so I was super excited when Ashlee and Jace were up for heading to Palisades State Park for their engagement pictures! When you first pull into the Palisades State Park, you’ll go over a beautiful, giant bridge overlooking Split Rock Creek. The park is lined with quartzite formations, which are the rocks you’ll see in these pictures. There are also hiking trails, and grassy areas. Truly, there is a little bit of something for everyone here!
Ashlee and Jace chose to bring along their favorite beer for their engagement session. I’ve got to admit that this is the first time anyone has brought Coors Lite along to their session, but I think I’m in love with the idea! We had some fun using the bottles and bottle caps as props, and BONUS – it was a nice refresher for them during their session! š I highly recommend sharing a brew with your boo during your engagement session. It couldn’t have turned out any cuter! Of course, with Ashlee being a photographer herself, I wouldn’t expect anything less š She knows what the camera likes!!
The Palisades seemed to be the place to be on that Saturday night.. I think we counted at least three other photographers. The greatest thing about photography, and I think Ashlee will agree with me, is that its so custom to the photographer. What I mean is that the other photographer’s engagement pictures won’t look anything like Ashlee and Jace’s, because each photographer sees things differently! This is why it’s so important to really research your photographer and get an idea for what their style is. It’s also important to make sure they have a consistent style so that you make sure your session looks like everything you’ve dreamt it would. If you look all over my blog… you’ll see I choose to shoot more bright and airy with true-to-color skin tones for my couples. I personally believe this is the best way to preserve special moments. And that’s why art is so fun! It’s subjective to the artist and their vision! š
Gosh, you guys, I am seriously so in love with this engagement session. The fall colors… the lovebirds… the Coors…. Lol.Ā I can’t wait to show it off! So without further ado, please enjoy some previews from Ashlee and Jace’s engagement session!
