Can we just talk about this absolutely incredible wedding day?! Holy WOW Abby and Lane knocked it out of the park! As you might be able to guess from their umbrellas… their day started out with some sprinkles, but it also ended with sprinkles – donuts, that is! I just cannot wait to share all about their day. Ready?
They started off by getting ready in Abby’s home in Alexandria, SD, a small town outside of Mitchell. The florals alone were enough to wow this photographer! I was so happy to finally meet an instagram friend of mine in real life that did the florals!(You can find her at oliveandgrace.co on instagram!)
After a very sweet daddy-daughter first look, we headed out to do Abby’s first look with Lane. They read letters that they had wrote to each other before turning and seeing each other for the first time! And well, what happens next, you’ll just have to scroll down to see it.
Following their ceremony at the St. Mary of Mercy Catholic Church in Alexandria, their guests got big cups of flower petals and lavender to throw when they left the church. Wow, I have never smelled a more beautiful exit! I just wish I could do a scratch and sniff to show you how amazing it smelled!
The next stop was more wedding party photos, this time with Busch Lattes and White Claws. Because you know what they say, ain’t no laws when you’re drinking Claws. And if the bride and groom want pictures of them enjoying a beverage on their day, then who am I to tell them no?! 🙂 They made for some pretty cute and memorable photos too. (White Claw if you want to sponsor me I won’t be mad!!!)
Their reception was at the Ramada Inn in Mitchell, and as you can tell from their pictures here, the sun finally started peeking out in the most glorious way. I swear, that was God’s way of telling us sorry for the rain earlier! WOW what a stunning sunset session for this brand new husband and wife! I. Am. Obsessed.
Also they had a donut wall that tasted as good as it looked. Yes. A donut wall. A literal wall of donuts. Bless.
Abby and Lane, we absolutely adore you. Thank you so much for asking us to be your photographers on your wedding day. Hugs! – Emma and Jon
