I just can’t get over the fact that we got to be the ones to photograph Stacie and Josh’s wedding on the most beautiful day in October. It was sunny and 65 degrees… and did I mention it was right in the middle of an apple orchard?! Yes this little slice of heaven is the Meadow Barn at Country Orchards, which it turns out is just as gorgeous on the inside as it is outside! It features a giant indoor reception area that Stacie and Josh had decorated just beautifully with their soft pinks, reds, and eucalyptus greenery.
Stacie had hair and makeup done in the bridal suite. When she first stepped into her wedding dress, no one knew what surprise she had in store for them. She sat down on the vintage blue sofa, and asked her mom to come over. Her mom saw that there was something on Stacie’s dress but what was it? Underneath the bottom layer of her dress Stacie had fabric from her grandfather’s tie sewn into her dress in the shape of a heart. Her mother looked down at the heart shape. Her tears swelled up in her eyes as she gave the heart a kiss. Stacie’s grandpa was here with them in their hearts.
Upstairs, Josh was getting ready with his groomsmen in the hayloft area. I love this private area that keep the bride and groom from seeing each other until their first look! š Josh and Stacie also chose to exchange letters and gifts before their wedding. I think that this is one of my favorite traditions to witness. It just builds that excitement before the big reveal!
One thing that really stood out to me was how Josh and Stacie spent their time before their ceremony. After all of the group pictures were over and their guests started arriving, they chose to grab a cocktail and head for a private walk through the orchard. Just by themselves. Truly, your wedding day is about the two of you, and you just don’t get enough “us time” during your day! I took a few pictures of their walk but encouraged them to enjoy their time together. I loved seeing them walk hand in hand through the apple orchard. There was just something so touching about it.
All in all, we wish we could relive this amazing day at the Meadow Barn! Josh and Stacie, you guys definitely know how to celebrate. It was the perfect day, and I think after you see these previews from their wedding, you’ll agree with me!
