Are you heading out for your first boudoir photoshoot?! I am so excited for you!! Here is a last-minute checklist to make sure you grab the important things for your boudoir session.
This might seem obvious, but just in case! Don’t forget to bring your lingerie. Whether you are purchasing new lingerie, repurposing some from your closet, or selecting from the client closet, come prepared with your lingerie! You’ll want to have a few different options and styles to make the most of your session. Don’t be afraid to bring something a little spicy!
Bringing accessories to your boudoir can be so fun, but it’s never required! You are always more than enough! Bring some fun body jewelry, your engagement or wedding ring, or even your wedding veil! A spicy robe or cover-up is always fun, so don’t be afraid to bring that! And don’t forget the REAL accessories, like maybe your water bottle, a chapstick or lip gloss, your favorite lotion, or anything else that will make you feel comfortable!
Hopefully, this last-minute checklist helps you settle in a little better and you feel totally ready and comfortable as you head into your life-changing boudoir experience.
Take it from Hayley, who had this to say about her boudoir experience, “I have always wanted to do a boudoir photoshoot, and I am so glad that I held out and found Emma to be the artist to make me feel so beautiful and confident! She walks you through every single step, from the day you book your session to the photoshoot itself, to choosing your final products. She sent some amazing references with all kinds of helpful information to prepare for the day. Hair and makeup are included and her makeup artist did an amazing job. Emma made me feel so comfortable during the photoshoot and I got to see my photos so soon after my session. The final product is exactly what I have always dreamed of having. It takes a certain type of person to make you feel so at ease during these types of photos and Emma is exactly that person. If anyone is considering doing something like this but hasn’t taken the plunge, I can’t recommend Emma enough.”
Above all else, remember that boudoir photography is about celebrating YOU, your body, and feeling confident and empowered. You don’t need a last-minute checklist or even a week of prep. Don’t stress too much about the details, because at the end of the day, the magic WILL happen. If you have a little more time and are looking for ways to fully prepare for your boudoir session this post covers everything in detail. I cannot wait to see you in the studio!
Boudoir photography celebrates all the ways your crazy beautiful body has held you up, moved you forward, and turned you into a woman who can get. it. done. Sis, that is something that should make you proud.
