Oh my goodness, where do I even start with this incredible day!?Ashlee and Jace were married at JP Denmark, an event venue in Viborg, South Dakota. This was my first JP Denmark wedding, and I was excited to see this gorgeous venue.
Ashlee and Jace actually have a very unique wedding story, and I’m so honored to be the one sharing it. You see, her father is hospitalized, so they actually got married a few weeks ago in his hospital room, so that he could be there for their wedding. So today was their second time reciting their vows, which they wrote custom for each other.
When I first pulled up to JP Denmark, all Ashlee could think about was fishing. There is a gorgeous pond there, filled with fish, and I have to admit, this was a first for my ECP Brides! She wanted nothing more than to get out her rod and reel and catch a fish! Did she get her wish? You’ll have to scroll down to find out.
Ashlee and Jace opted to do their first look during the wedding ceremony, so I knew that would be a special moment to capture for them. Seeing your bride on your wedding day after so much anticipation is such an incredible feeling, and you can tell just by the look on Jace’s face that he was so in love with his soon-to-be-bride.
Once all of the wedding party pictures and husband and wife pictures were taken, we headed inside for tacos and pizza, because hello, what else would you want on your wedding day?!
After everyone’s tummies were full, it was time for speeches and first dances. This was an especially touching time for the bride, because Ashlee shared a special dance with two special men in her life. One of them standing in for her father’s dance with her. Jace also shared a special dance with his dad, and well, you’re just going to have to see the amazing videographer, Rachel‘s video to come out to experience that incredible moment! These two had synchronized a dance to Get Low by Lil Jon, and it. was. epic.
They also did a sparkler exit, which are some of my very favorite things to photograph. Since it was raining sideways at this point in the evening, we did their sparkler exit under the awning and kept everyone dry while illuminating this special evening for the couple. The thunderstorm was also incredible to watch at JP Denmark, because one wall is made up completely of windows. The lightning was lighting up their dance floor (along with the twinkle lights of the venue!).
Ashlee and Jace, we simply adore you. We can’t thank you enough for trusting us to capture this amazing day for you! Hope that you love these sneak peeks!!
Thank you to these incredible vendors who also made their day amazing!
