When you book a session with me, you are saying yes to a personalized journey that highlights you honestly. This initial shoot necklace is a great example of that.
My client came to me wanting to incorporate a little nod to something important to her. She didn’t want to do big props or obvious signs like that. But she did want subtle hints towards something personal. So she brought along this sentimental jewelry to complete her look in the studio. YES. PLEASE. Bring all the meaningful things that show off your personality.
When she arrived at my downtown Sioux Falls photography studio, she was ushered into a calm and safe space that we intentionally set up for all our clients. From the warm and cozy textures throughout the rooms, to the small details like a diffuse or having something to drink there for you… we want to welcome you into a place you know you can be yourself.
My makeup artist will chat with you about what look you are going for, and if you have inspo photos from my Pinterest – even better! For this session she went with a natural look but with a little sparkle on the eyes.
The first outfit we styled was a lace maroon bodysuit with a defined bralette and strap features on the back. Talk about sensual! I also loved how it perfectly highlighted her thigh tattoos! I don’t know about you, but if someone’s got tattoos, I say: show ’em off!
Another look we styled was a dark lace two-piece matching set. This is where the initial necklace idea really got to shine. We got several close up shots with her sentimental item, and even got playful with her biting the charm. I love infusing your gallery with your personality like this.
We wrapped up the session with a black bralette matching set, while the light in the studio just worked perfectly for us. I loved all the golden glows of this gallery and was so happy to ship off her final album so she can cherish this forever.
Whether you are new to boudoir, or have had several shoots – I hope you feel empowered when you step into the studio. And your confidence sky rockets when you see how amazing you are documented in images. Something about tangibly holding evidence in your hands does a world of good for your self-esteem. And the world needs you with high self-esteem, babe.
Boudoir photography celebrates all the ways your crazy beautiful body has held you up, moved you forward, and turned you into a woman who can get. it. done. Sis, that is something that should make you proud.
