You’ve finally booked your boudoir experience and now all the nerves are creeping in (even more than before!!) right?! Boudoir is about celebrating yourself, your body, and your unique beauty. But trust me, as a Sioux Falls boudoir photographer, I KNOW how nerve-wracking it can be! But I’ve got you, girl!! Here are some tips to help you relax your nerves before your boudoir experience!
It’s all about feeling prepared! Don’t wait till the absolute last minute to find your boudoir set, grab your day-of necessities, or book any self-care appointments. Drink tons of water, and fill your body with nourishing foods! Lay everything out the night before, including accessories and shoes. Knowing you’re all set will ease a lot of stress.
Treat yourself to some much-deserved pampering leading up to your boudoir session. Hair appointments, nails, facials, waxing, you name it, you deserve it! The night before, you can treat yourself to a relaxing bath, and just unwind and soak it all in. Follow that with your favorite skincare routine and water to leave your skin glowing and ready for the camera.
Create a playlist of your favorite tunes to listen to while you’re getting ready and driving to your session. Whether it’s Beyoncé to get you feeling fierce or some chill vibes to keep you calm, music can set the tone and help you get into that relaxed mindset!
Before your session, take a few moments to breathe and center yourself. Repeat your positive affirmations, and find the confidence within you to know that you are WORTHY of this experience! Remind yourself of all the things you love about your body. You are beautiful, you are strong, and you deserve to feel confident every single day!
Remember, this is all about celebrating YOU. Embrace every single moment and have fun with it. Let your beautiful personality shine and don’t be afraid to be yourself! Boudoir is about capturing every bit of you in a way that makes you feel beautiful, confident, and empowered!!
So, take a deep breath, put on your favorite lingerie (or don’t!), and get ready to ROCK your boudoir session. You deserve this!! I can’t wait to see you in the studio!
Boudoir photography celebrates all the ways your crazy beautiful body has held you up, moved you forward, and turned you into a woman who can get. it. done. Sis, that is something that should make you proud.
