Where do I even start with a blog post about a couple like Amber and Cooper?! Their relationship is so amazing, and I’m not kidding you, I SMILED the whole time I shot this engagement session AND the whole time I edited it! True story, you can even ask my hubby 🙂
Their engagement session took place at their country home near Colman, South Dakota. I absolutely love when couples have their engagement session at their own place; it just adds such a special touch to their day! And after the session, they invited me in for a tour. You guys, I don’t know if you know this about Amber, but she is a pretty crafty person. She makes these amazing wooden signs that look straight off of a Pinterest board. These boards decorate the walls of their house, and she also sells them to people and makes custom work for them. Anyhow– they invited me in, and I see all of her beautiful signs she’s made. Obviously I told her I’m jealous of her skills and I wish I could make them. But then she BLEW MY MIND. I thought it was all just Amber that did it, come to find out they ACTUALLY MAKE THEM TOGETHER. What a fun bonding time for them!❤️
You can see some of Amber’s work here.
Be sure to leave these guys some love in the comments!
AMBER & COOPER: Making signs, going UTV or ranger riding in the hills, hiking, sitting on the porch in the evening.
“That first summer we were together I swear he took me to five weddings just to prove I was real to his friends and family back home. At one of our friend’s weddings, Cooper told me he was in love with me and this wasn’t really a surprise. I guess they say ‘when you know, you know’ because I already knew just by his actions and the way he looked at me that he was. It didn’t take too much longer after that and I returned those 3 words to him. ” – Amber
AMBER: “I worked a night shift and came home and slept til noon and we had arranged that Cooper was bringing food and we were going to have lunch together before I left to go back to my parents house for the weekend. What I didn’t know was this had put a wrench in Cooper’s plans. He thought he would have the whole weekend to muster up the guts to ask the big question. Anyway he came over and woke me up and we were sitting on the couch talking and eating. He started talking about our life and mention how it’s better with two and then he stood up from the couch and reached into his pocket and asked me to be his wife. I started bawling like baby in disbelief and excitement and said YES. The END.” ❤️
