As someone who started their career in the medical field, I always have a soft spot for my fellow nurse’s boudoir sessions. When this client came to me and asked me to take her photos, I was so honored. I know how much of oneself you have to give in the medical field, and being able to help her pamper herself was such a gift!
Not only was my client a nurse – so was her grandmother! If you look closely in the images, you can see a tattoo of her grandma on her arm. I loved the nod to honor the legacy she came from, as she carries on the tradition of working in the medical field.
I’ll never forget how much our front-line caregivers gave during COVID. I had already stepped out of nursing and started being a full time photographer when the pandemic hit, but every time I have someone from the medical field in my studio, I just appreciate the hell out of them. Not just for their role during the awful pandemic, but also for every day sacrifices. Makes me want to go above and beyond to give them the best experience ever.
I think I did that for this client!
My boudoir session with Emma was nothing short of amazing. From the moment I walked in, she made me feel completely comfortable, confident, and celebrated. Her ability to create a safe, empowering space allowed me to truly embrace the experience, it was freeing, uplifting, and so much more than just a photoshoot.
Emma’s attention to detail, encouragement, and artistic eye brought out the best in me, capturing moments that felt powerful and authentic. I walked away from the session not only with stunning photos but with a renewed sense of confidence and self-love. If you’re considering a boudoir session, I can’t recommend Emma enough: she is truly incredible at what she does!
I love that this experience became so much more than a photo shoot for this incredible woman. When you walk away feeling inspired and confident, I’ve done my job..
You show up in your relationships better. You show up at work differently. And that’s the goal of the boudoir experience.
I loved hosting this client for her nurse’s boudoir session. From her classic black lingerie set to her smoky rust colored bodysuit… then the Marilyn Monroe inspired white halter… and the “just the sheets” moment – she killed the whole session! Talk about fiery! Make sure you scroll to the end to see all her images!
Boudoir photography celebrates all the ways your crazy beautiful body has held you up, moved you forward, and turned you into a woman who can get. it. done. Sis, that is something that should make you proud.
