This was my client’s third boudoir session with me, and she came in ready to celebrate a new chapter in her life. She was confident, radiant, and completely in her element. After finding her groove behind the camera, she wanted this round to feel different. Think… more playful, daring, and full of life. 

So we leaned into colorful lingerie inspiration.

We started in the client closet, and styled a session that reflected the stage of life she’s in and what she wanted to capture.

She started the day in a sunny yellow set. This is a statement-making choice that was practically glowing against the cozy textures of the bedroom. The geometric lace caught the golden natural light perfectly, creating that dreamy contrast between soft and bold that I love so much. 

Later, she slipped into a deep magenta and black lace set, where the tones added this beautiful depth to the images. All while still keeping that sense of fun and confidence.

I always tell my clients that color can completely change the tone of your photos. 

Neutrals will always have their place (and I love them so much!), but a pop of color can really add to the story you’re trying to tell.
