If I could tell every woman one thing it would be: you don’t need to change yourself, you just need to change how you see yourself.
There’s something incredibly powerful about a woman deciding she’s ready to see herself differently. And this session with a bride-to-be is a perfect example of that. When she stepped into the studio, she was there not just to create a wedding gift for her fiancé, but to shift the way she perceives herself.
“My fiancé is always gushing over me… but some days I look in the mirror and think, ‘he has to be kidding,’” she shared. “I want to do this to convince myself that I can be sexy.”
Spoiler alert: she is. But more importantly? She felt it.
Boudoir isn’t just about the photos. (Although we’re kinda obsessed with those too). It’s about the moment you stop brushing off the compliments and start believing them. It’s about standing in your own power. You can tell when a woman is fully embodying herself: fully, fiercely, beautifully herself.
For this bride, this session was her way of capturing her in this moment. Before the wedding, before kids, before the next chapter. It was a celebration of who she is right now. And we are here for that.
This bride started the session in a gorgeous white satin strappy set that gave the perfect soft bridal vibe. From the delicate lace details to the wrap around straps. Then she switched things up with a classic black matching set and garter piece. I really loved the contrast of the black and white pieces in her final gallery. We finished with a “just the sheet” moment (a studio staple for a reason), and it was really cool to see how much her confidence grew from the start of the session to the end.
When I asked her who she admires the most as a fellow woman, she said her mom. I loved that. Here’s what she wrote:
“I say my mom because she is such a dedicated person – to her family, job, pets.. you name it. She is a resilient, strong women! But someone, not anyone in particular, but a women that radiants confidence! A women that knows who she is and what she wants.”
How amazing is it to have role models like that in your life?
So this bride not only created an incredible gift for her partner on their wedding day (and 100% unique & personal!!) but she was able to step into her confidence before walking down the aisle. You truly can change how you see yourself.
And here’s the thing: your fiancé might already know how sexy you are. But you deserve to believe it too.
Boudoir photography celebrates all the ways your crazy beautiful body has held you up, moved you forward, and turned you into a woman who can get. it. done. Sis, that is something that should make you proud.
