There are so many benefits to hiring a coach and I have talked about this before, but the financial return is usually everyone’s favorite benefit.
Prior to joining my coaching program, Brooke had only been running her boudoir photography business for roughly nine months. We were introduced through another photographers course and she joined my coaching program because she knew that she had the potential to do more and she believed in herself & her work.
When Brooke first started shooting boudoir, she was offering sessions two weekends a month. She was doing seven sessions per weekend. Seven sessions PER WEEKEND. That is fourteen a month!! When I heard that I was blown away and knew that she was not reaching her full potential. I also knew that her client experience HAD to be suffering! Client experience is the essence of my business and I make sure to stress the importance of that to each of my coaching students.
Needless to say, Brooke was exhausted. Can you imagine the work on the front end of these sessions, the work during, and then the editing after the sessions?
At the time that I met Brooke, she only offered two packages to clients. One package was priced at $250, which included the two hour shoot and 10 digital images. Her other package was $350 and the only difference was that it included hair and makeup.
Not only was she shooting these sessions, she was also working a full-time job. Brooke would edit the pictures at night to try and get them out at a reasonable time, which can honestly feel like a full-time job!
Not only did she say that she learned a lot, she believes that the information she learned all added up together to impact her business. She learned to value herself and her time, and how to feel more confident in what she is offering to her clients. She also touched on the importance of the experience that you offer your clients, making sure that it is as luxurious as possible to be worth the higher the price tag.
Right now Brooke is offering four to five sessions a month with a goal to get to about six to seven sessions per month. One of my favorite parts of the interview was when Brooke said that, “one of the best parts is that I can actually be present for everything and feel good and excited.”
As a coach, that is all that I can ask for. If you aren’t present and excited about your work, your clients WILL pick up on that.
Brooke claims that there was a huge shift in her business and her whole life was impacted by the changes she was making.
Financially, after she finished up with her coaching she is bringing home 4-figures of profit per session.
Brooke invested in herself and it paid off in her business, what do you need to do right now to invest in yourself?
