So you’re thinking of doing maternity boudoir? I love that for you! It’s such a beautiful way to celebrate your body and freeze a moment in time before you welcome your new addition.
Your mind is already spinning trying to plan ahead for your new little baby. Let me help take some of the planning for your session off of your plate. Here are some things you might want to know about maternity boudoir sessions:
When to book your session:
I always recommend booking anywhere from 30-35 weeks. This is usually about when your tummy is nice and round, but you aren’t starting to feel suuuuper full term yet.
What to wear to your maternity boudoir session:
Honestly, just about anything! Lacy bralettes, babydolls, and matching sets are some of my favorites for maternity. Of course, the white sheets always look amazing, and I think they make your bump look pretty darn cute. We tend to go for a more romantic, cozy vibe for these sessions.
You’re welcome to borrow any of these pieces from my client closet, or shop for your own. Here are some links to my favorites on Amazon (hi two day shipping!).
What is included in a maternity boudoir session with me?
I treat these sessions just the same as a normal boudoir session, so your session fee includes professional hair and makeup, access to my client closet, and a little bit of retouching! We’ll plan for three outfits and if you would like to do white sheets, we can always add that on!
When should I book a maternity boudoir session?
I encourage my clients to book around that 7-8 month mark. This is the perfect time for your bump, and not TOO close to your due date! If you’re interested in my availability for your maternity boudoir session,
fill out my contact form, and let’s talk about my availability for then!
