State Fair Senior Pictures

With the SD State Fair starting tomorrow, I thought it would be super fun to share these State Fair Senior Pictures! I was born and raised in the town that hosts the SD State Fair, so it’s always a fun time of year when the fair starts! This was a very unique senior session that I’ve always wanted to shoot, and I’m so happy that Emersen was more than happy to jump right in and take pictures there! The colors of the midway are just too fun to pass up, and who doesn’t like carnival rides and cheese curds?! Count me in!

My Favorite Ride

One of my all time favorite rides at the State Fair is the Zipper. I can remember so many times growing up, my friends and I would ride the Zipper for hours. We had our ritual down. We would get week long passes and my friends and I would sip an iconic State Fair Strawberry Smoothie, feel “fine” and then get on the Zipper. After about 3 minutes of twisting and twirling, I did not feel “fine” anymore! But I’d jump right back in line and sign myself up for another round of spinning round and round. Somehow as a teenager, I used to recover from that stuff a lot better than I would now!

What’s Your Favorite Part of The State Fair?

I’m not sure what part about the fair I like the best. Is it the rides? The animals? The all-you-can-drink chocolate milk? The concerts? Or is it …. the cheese curds? You know we had to take some next to the legendary cheese curds stand! Everyone has their favorite fair food but I do not know many people that would say “no” to at least one cheese curd. 🙂
