Picture this: You both have a free day with no work needing to be done. What do you spend the day doing?
Abby + Zeb: “Binge watching Netflix on the couch!”
Oh, South Dakota weather, you always know how to keep us on our toes! Abby and Zeb had to reschedule their engagement pictures a couple times due to the weather! The first time was a winter storm, and the second time was due to a HUGE winter storm that totally shut down the state for a few days! š Luckily – they were totally ready to do engagement pictures bright and early the morning before the crazy weather started. Yes, you read that right! These pictures were no more than 12 hours before that crazy winter storm hit! And they aren’t even wearing a coat! But, as all good South Dakotans know, that’s exactly what we expect out of our crazy weather here! All four seasons in 24 hours š
Abby and Zeb decided to have their engagement pictures on Abby’s family farm near the beautiful rolling hills in Wessington, South Dakota. Their farm has been part of the family for over one hundred years. My husband, Jon, and I really enjoyed getting to hear all of the history about their family farm and how it’s changed over the years. We were told by Abby’s dad that there was even a grand stand in the side of one of the hills and a dance hall! This sounded to us like back in the day, this was the place to be!
The smiles and laughs shared by Abby and Zeb throughout their entire engagement session were almost TOO cute. When we said smile, they smiled. And they smiled BIG. They would burst into laughter at times, and it was so apparent to Jon and I that these are two people that truly love each other. We absolutely can’t wait for their wedding later this year!
Abby + Zeb: “Our first official date was to the Dwight Yoakam concert at the 2016 South Dakota State Fair.”
Abby: “I ruined Zeb’s ‘romantic’ plan of proposing in downtown Rapid by getting sick so he settled for his driveway. He did still get down on one knee and asked properly :)”
Zeb: “Her smile, and personality. She puts up with me.”
Abby: “His ability to put me in a good mood no matter what!”
Abby + Zeb: “Binge watching Netflix on the couch!”
